It spent its first year in the tropical heat of Fiji. Then, it rested for six years in the United Kingdom. Finally, it finished its aging with three years in New York State.

The liquid rested in an American oak barrel. This cask previously held bourbon and then rum. This process adds layers of depth without the need for additives.
