Melaza con Muck represents a bold new chapter in Mexican cane spirits. Crafted at the Satvrnal distillery in Jalisco, this debut release comes from first generation distillers Pedro Andres and Jorge Najera. This dynamic duo steps away from standard commercial profiles to explore the experimental side of rum. Inspired by the highly aromatic, high ester profiles of classic Caribbean rums, they push the boundaries of modern distillation to create something entirely unique.

To build this highly complex spirit, the makers developed their own proprietary muck recipe. They combine this rich blend with high grade molasses for an extended fifteen day fermentation. This long, patient process develops deep, funky flavor compounds that simply cannot be rushed. The fermented mash is then carefully processed through a custom copper hybrid pot and column still. Bottled at a powerful 57.1 percent alcohol by volume, it delivers a robust and memorable drinking experience that easily stands out from the competition.

In the glass, the rum offers an incredibly vibrant aroma. The nose fills with rich notes of dark chocolate, sweet strawberry candy, and heavy overripe bananas. On the palate, the liquid is deeply layered and fascinating. Flavors of mild roast coffee blend seamlessly with caramelized baked bananas and a distinct hint of salty strawberry. This spirit stands completely apart from typical sweet rums on the market, offering connoisseurs a daring, high ester experience. Serve this exceptional Mexican rum neat in a proper tasting glass, or use its intense aromatic profile to elevate premium tropical cocktails.
