Saint James 12 Years Old Magnum Series Edition #2 brings together the craft of fine rum and the art of photography. This release comes from the oldest distillery in Martinique, which has been active since 1765. It is part of a unique collection curated by La Maison and Velier. The bottle features a vibrant image by Alex Webb, an American photographer famous for capturing the intense colors of the Caribbean. This large format bottle is a stunning piece for any collector.

The spirit inside captures the heritage of the island. It is a Rhum Agricole, made from pure sugar cane juice rather than molasses. Distilled in a traditional Creole column, this liquid is a blend of two vintages from 2003 and 2010. It spent 12 years aging in ex-Bourbon casks in the tropical heat. The result is a rum with incredible depth.

On the nose, it is fleshy and rich. Aromas of sugar and honey surge from the glass, followed by notes of chocolate and earth. The palate is delicate and creamy. It offers a surprising mix of flavors, including spices like turmeric and curry alongside herbal hints of bay leaf. The finish is long and soothing. It leaves lingering tastes of walnut, apricot jam, and nutmeg. This is a complex spirit that demands to be savored slowly.
