Brewed directly at an in-house roastery and distillery north of Sydney, this Australian liqueur relies entirely on specialty-grade Arabica coffees rather than the powdered extracts or hyper-sweetened syrups common to mass-market coffee cordials. Cold extraction with purified water draws out intense roasted oils, ground cacao, and natural fruit acids while leaving behind bitter, muddy tannins. Blended with a clean, neutral Australian wheat vodka and just enough Australian cane sugar to round the edges-containing roughly half the sugar and ten times the coffee content of traditional commercial brands-the spirit prioritizes genuine roast depth and genuine caffeine extraction over thick confectionary sweetness.
Palate weight is medium-bodied and fluid rather than syrupy, opening with fresh espresso crema and roasted hazelnut before dark chocolate bitterness clamps down on the mid-palate.
