Monmousseau Cuvee Ciselee Cremant de Loire Blanc Brut is a liquid tribute to the prestigious Touraine region. Produced by Maison Monmousseau, a historic house established in 1886 in the heart of the Loire Valley, this wine captures the essence of its unique environment. The grapes are grown on soils rich in "pierre de Tuffeau," the famous limestone that lines the valley and forms the very cellars where this wine matures.
The blend is masterfully crafted, or "chiseled," featuring a dominant backbone of Chenin Blanc for roundness and fruit. It is supported by Chardonnay and accented with red varietals like Pinot Noir, Pineau d'Aunis, and Cabernet Franc. To achieve its fine elegance, the wine ages for an impressive 36 months on laths in constant 12°C underground caves.
In the glass, it shines with a pale gold hue and delicate bubbles. The nose opens with a lovely floral bouquet. On the palate, it is ample and fresh, revealing notes of white-fleshed fruits. The finish is long and distinct, offering a touch of red berries and a refreshing salinity.
