Benanti Etna Rosato is a captivating pink wine born on the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna. Crafted entirely from Nerello Mascalese, a noble grape native to Sicily, this wine highlights the unique mountain climate of the region. The vines grow between 500 and 700 meters above sea level on the southeast face of the volcano. Here, sandy, mineral-rich soils and cool mountain breezes create the perfect conditions for growing vibrant, flavorful fruit.

During the early October harvest, workers carefully pick the grapes by hand. At the winery, the fruit undergoes a short, twelve-hour cold soak to extract a beautiful antique pink color. The grapes are then gently pressed to collect only the purest free-run juice. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks using special native yeasts discovered in the estate vineyards. The wine then rests on its fine lees, adding lovely texture and depth without hiding the bright fruit flavors.

In the glass, this volcanic wine offers delicate aromas of wild blackberry, fresh cherry, and sweet yellow flowers. On the palate, it is perfectly dry and refreshing. A distinct mineral crunch and savory acidity balance the ripe red fruit flavors. A gentle hint of tannin gives the wine structure, leading to a long, clean finish. This elegant Italian wine stands out from typical summer drinks with its serious depth and food-friendly nature. It pairs wonderfully with fresh seafood, light charcuterie, soft cheeses, and roasted poultry.
