Tselepos Mantinia Moschofillero 2024 is a stunning white wine that captures the bright spirit of Greece. Master winemaker Yiannis Tselepos studied in France before returning home to rescue this rare grape from being forgotten. He planted his vines high on the earthen hills of Mount Parnonas. Here, at over two thousand feet above sea level, the poor clay and rocky soils force the roots to dig deep. This daily struggle creates low yields of highly concentrated fruit.

To protect the delicate flavors, the winemaking team uses modern cooling methods. They soak the crushed grapes at low temperatures for eight hours before fermentation. The clear juice then ferments in stainless steel tanks and rests briefly on its fine lees. The winery avoids heavy oak barrels completely. This clean process allows the native grape to shine and easily outshines flat commercial white wines.

In the glass, this Greek white wine pours a bright and clear color. The aroma is highly fragrant, lifting beautiful notes of fresh rose petals, lemon blossom, and bright citrus. On the palate, drinkers will find a bone dry texture packed with extreme freshness. A firm, mouth watering acidity balances the vibrant fruit flavors, leading to a long and very clean finish.

Because it is so crisp and energetic, this wine is highly versatile at the dinner table. It makes a perfect pairing for fresh sushi, green salads, or noodles in a sweet and sour sauce. Add this refreshing bottle to your collection to experience a true classic of the Mediterranean.
