The Memoira Montefalco Sagrantino is the estate's foundational expression of this powerful grape. Sourced from the Gualdo Cattaneo area, this 100% Sagrantino displays a color so intense it is almost impenetrable in the glass. After fermentation and an extended maceration, the wine is transferred to French oak barrels for the legally mandated minimum of 12 months of wood aging. The full aging cycle takes a total of 37 months. The result is a wine that is hard to forget: it shows intense, broad aromas of red fruit alongside particularly fine and spicy hints.
