Chateau Suduiraut stands among the greatest historic vineyards of Bordeaux, celebrated as a Premier Cru Classé in the 1855 classification. This 2010 vintage is a profound and accomplished expression of its exceptional Sauternes terroir. The year was defined by a long, very hot, and dry spell, yielding grapes of intense concentration. The immense labor required five successive tries-hand selections-in the vineyard, ensuring that only perfectly affected fruit was harvested.

The wine reveals a deep golden yellow color, evolving toward amber tones. It is a stunning blend of 90% Sémillon and 10% Sauvignon Blanc, matured for 20 months in oak. The nose presents a dense, powerful bouquet of ripe apricot, exotic fruit, mango, and saffron. The palate is full-bodied and opulent, delivering rich, concentrated layers of candied fruit. Despite this richness, the finish is long and mineral with bright acidity, giving the wine exceptional control and structure. Robert Parker awarded this vintage 98 points, affirming its immense potential and placing it among the greatest modern releases built to evolve for decades.

One of the highest points of this vertical tasting, the 2010 Suduiraut reveals a dense, powerful bouquet of ripe apricots, exotic fruit, mango, pineapple, saffron and spices. More solar than the 2009 and with a full-bodied structure, it’s rich and concentrated, layered and seamless with a fleshy core of fruit and stunning controlled power, finishing long and mineral with bright acids. This stunning blend of 90% Sémillon and 10% Sauvignon Blanc, harvested between September 22 and November 9 in five tries, was matured for 20 months in oak barrels (50% new, 50% one year) and contains 145 grams per liter of residual sugar.
