Nagurayama Yokikana Sake showcases the skill and tradition of the Fukushima region. Known as the Master's Touch, this spirit offers a level of quality that exceeds its classification. The brewery uses Yamadanishiki rice, often called the king of sake rice. They polish every grain down to 50 percent. While this bottle is labeled as a Junmai Ginjo, this high polish rate gives it the refined elegance typically found in Daiginjo sakes.
The aroma is the first thing you notice. It is gorgeous and full, drawing you in immediately. On the palate, the liquid offers a distinct sweetness that is welcoming and rich. This sweetness comes from a careful brewing process using specific yeast strains. Despite the rich flavor, the texture remains clean and smoothly balanced. It does not linger too long but finishes with pure finesse.
Nagurayama Brewing Company has crafted aromatic sakes since 1973. They use pure water from the Aizu region to create this lush profile. This sake is best when served cool, rather than ice cold. This temperature allows the aromas to bloom. It pairs perfectly with delicate seafood like scallops, sea bream, and abalone. It also complements fresh seasonal salads and vegetables.
