Crafted by Master Blender Richard Seale, this release combines copper pot still and twin Coffey column still spirits distilled from fine molasses. As the penultimate entry in the famous Exceptional Cask Series, Penultimus offers a unique dual maturation process. It aged on site in tropical conditions for fifteen years. The liquid spent its first ten years in ex bourbon barrels before resting five additional years in rare ex Muscatel wine casks.

Unlike sweeter spiced rums with added sugars or colors, Penultimus retains complete structural purity. It delivers vibrant aromas of caramelized orange peel, nougat, warm nutmeg, cinnamon, and allspice. On the palate, a silky mouthfeel reveals explosive notes of bright citrus, white peach, lychee, and dark fruits.
