It begins with Sanguinello blood oranges grown on the slopes of Mount Etna. The fruit is picked during a short window in winter when cool nights help the oranges develop their deep red color and spicy, bittersweet flavor.

The production process is unique and careful. To capture the full essence of the fruit, the distillery uses three separate small-batch distillations. They distill the meat of the orange, the zesty peel, and Sicilian lemons. These are blended to create a liquid that is far more complex than standard triple sec.
