Formulated on a base of fermented 100% blue agave wine, the Rancho La Gloria Cocktail Series Cosmo achieves a full 17% ABV while remaining completely grain- and vodka-free. By utilizing agave nectar fermentation rather than neutral grain spirits or malt bases, this ready-to-serve cocktail delivers a naturally rounder body that absorbs the inherent tartness of fruit juices. The formulation integrates natural cranberry and lime flavor extracts directly into the agave wine, balancing fruit acidity without relying on high-fructose corn syrup or artificial sweeteners.
Crisp, tart cranberry and bright lime peel dominate the entry, supported by a medium physical weight on the mid-palate that tempers the citrus sharpness. The agave base supplies a soft, subtle honeyed backdrop, carrying the tart berry profile through a clean, refreshing, and dry finish. In-house testing at USQ showed that serving it straight over ice dilutes the fruit intensity too quickly; our team recommends pouring 3.5 oz of chilled Cosmo into a shaker with ice, shaking hard for 10 seconds, and straining into a chilled martini glass with a orange peel twist for a bar-quality pour at home.
