The story starts with the Mattituck Lions Strawberry Festival, where tons of surplus fruit were rescued to create a base of lush strawberry wine. To add structure and depth, the producer distills a portion of this wine into a potent strawberry eau de vie, fortifying the blend before the infusion process begins.

Unlike many herbal liqueurs where flavors merge into a single note, this amaro allows each ingredient to shine individually. The palate is led by the bright, juicy character of ripe strawberries. This fruitiness is immediately grounded by the woody, bitter notes of quassia and the earthy green snap of nettle. A delicate layer of jasmine and rose adds a floral perfume, while nutmeg fruit provides a warm, spicy finish.
