HIGHWIRE DISTILLING CO.

A Rediscovery of Forgotten Flavor. Crafted in Charleston, Rooted in the Lowcountry.

Where Drinking is an Agricultural Act

High Wire Distilling Co. was founded by Scott Blackwell and Ann Marshall with a desire to explore a range of flavor found in lost and forgotten grains. Located in
downtown Charleston, their process is rooted in farming and organic baking,
driving them to approach distilling with the palate and curiosity of adventurous cooks. Every spirit is created using heritage grains from South Carolina family farms, from milling and mashing to distillation and barrel aging—a bold rediscovery of lost flavor.

From Field to Barrel: Our Process

.

High Wire is dedicated to regenerative practices like no-till farming
and seed preservation. They partner with local farmers to cultivate forgotten
Southern grains, most famously the deep-red Jimmy Red Corn. This commitment to
the source—to enhancing flavor, celebrating farmers, and preserving rural
lands—ensures that every bottle is a true expression of the stories it holds.

A Revival of an American Heritage Grain

Jimmy Red Corn was nearly extinct, saved by a single farmer. High Wire took this unique, high-oil corn and turned it into the bold, complex bourbon that put
them on the map. Explore the limited and rare releases below.

The Revival Rye: A Lowcountry Twist

High Wire's commitment to heritage extends to their rye. The Revival Rye
is known for its distinctive character, retaining the full flavor and rustic
texture of the grain. It's a complex, bold rye that stands up beautifully in
any classic cocktail, adding a touch of Lowcountry depth.
