Ronchi Di Cialla Ciallabianco 2021 is a testament to the unique history of the Cialla Valley in Friuli. This white wine comes from the Quercigh vineyard, where vines over forty years old grow on steep terraced hills. The valley is known as a haven for nature, surrounded by chestnut and oak woods. It possesses a microclimate so mild it was historically called a Riviera. The Rapuzzi family acts as guardians of this land. They blend ancient tradition with modern science to craft wines that can age for decades.
The winemaking is patient and deliberate. The wine ferments in barrels and rests there for eleven months. It then spends another twenty months in the bottle before release. This process creates a white wine with incredible depth and structure. It pours a straw yellow color. The nose is subtle but complex, offering scents of pear, apple, and plum mixed with white flowers like jasmine.
On the palate, Ciallabianco is dry and full. It balances rich fruit with a refined mineral edge and fresh acidity. Hints of vanilla from the barrel add warmth without overpowering the delicate fruit. This is a wine of grace and personality. It pairs beautifully with rich dishes like fish stew, creamy soups, or vegetable souffles. It also shines alongside white meats served in savory sauces.

Savory, nearly slaty in profile, the 2021 Ciallabianco wafts up with a burst of crushed rocks and wild herbs giving way to young peach. This opens with a pretty inner sweetness quickly balanced by saline mineral tones and brisk Ribolla acidity as crisp orchard fruits cascade throughout. The 2021 finishes spicy and long, lightly tannic, leaving the mouth watering as nuances of ginger slowly fade.
