Big Table Farm Pinot Noir 2023 is a genuine expression of the Willamette Valley, blending fruit from all the winery's vineyard sources into one harmonious bottle. Winemaker Brian Marcy treats every ferment with equal diligence, ensuring that this "kitchen sink" blend reflects the highest quality of the vintage.

The winemaking process is artisanal and low-intervention. The grapes undergo whole-cluster fermentation using only the indigenous yeast that "blows in the door". To extract flavor gently, each lot is trod by foot multiple times. The wine is matured primarily in older barrels to keep the oak influence minimal, allowing the pure fruit character to take center stage. It is bottled unfined and unfiltered.

On the nose, this wine offers the nostalgic scent of picking fresh blackberries in late August. The palate is decidedly lighter, featuring bright notes of cranberry and the savory sweetness of brambly huckleberry jam. Warm spices are present throughout, leading to a gentle, lingering finish reminiscent of Earl Grey tea leaves, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

The 2023 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley is so pretty as vivid notes of Earl Grey and sweet lavender complement crushed blackberries. Round textures and ripe wild berry fruits soothe, while crunchy mineral tones add form and a hint of blood orange embellishes the close. The 2023 tapers off with excellent length and floral persistence, leaving a pleasantly chewy sensation that lingers.
